About Jen

I'm a Boston-area product leader who has spent 20+ years helping companies figure out what to build, in what order, and why — then making sure it actually gets done.

I've worked with companies ranging from well-known names like Wayfair and Babylist to early-stage startups finding their footing. My background spans B2B and B2C, early-stage and enterprise, and pretty much every flavor of chaos in between.

I started Ballast in 2019 to do this work on my own terms — embedded with teams who need senior product thinking without a full-time hire. And while I am one person, I bring 20 years of relationships with me. When a project needs a specific skill set or extra hands, I know exactly who to call.

I'm not afraid of a mess. Honestly, I prefer it.

A few things worth knowing:

  • Pivot tables genuinely bring me joy

  • I'm better than the next person at complex stakeholder dynamics and prioritization — I'll just put that out there

  • I have a dry sense of humor and will tell you the truth, even when it's not what you want to hear

  • I'm a Boston College alum, a South Shore local, and a solo toddler mom — which means I'm very good at getting things done with limited time and zero patience for inefficiency

Curious how I think? Read some of my case studies.
